Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Age Limit

You must be between 21 and 42 years old as of January 1, 2026. This means candidates must be born between January 1, 1984 and January 1, 2005.

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST / SEBC / Women / Ex-Servicemen: 5 years relaxation (maximum age up to 47 years)
  • PwD candidates with 40% or more permanent disability: 10 years relaxation

Only one relaxation category will apply. Candidates must provide valid proof such as a High School certificate for date of birth verification.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Basic computer knowledge with a certificate or proof of proficiency.

Other Requirements

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia language fluently.
  • Candidates who studied outside Odisha must provide equivalence certificates.

Selection Process

Written Examination (200 Marks)

Qualifying Marks:

Computer Skill Test (50 Marks)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the computer test based on their performance in the written examination. The number of shortlisted candidates will be twice the number of vacancies category-wise.

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared by combining the scores of the written exam and computer skill test.

If two candidates score the same marks, preference will be given to:

  • The candidate with higher percentage in the bachelor's degree.
  • If still tied, the candidate with the earlier date of birth.

Selected candidates will then undergo document verification and counseling.

  • Junior Assistant: University-wise counseling
  • Junior Clerk: District-wise counseling

The written examination will be conducted in zones including:

  • Balasore
  • Berhampur
  • Bhubaneswar
  • Jeypore
  • Sambalpur

PwD candidates will receive scribe support and additional time during the exam if required.

Salary and Benefits

All posts fall under Group-C, Pay Level-4 (Cell-1) as per Odisha government pay rules.

The salary structure varies slightly depending on the institution:

  • Government Degree Colleges, NCC, and Board of Secondary Education – Full government employee benefits.
