Available Posts

Agniveer SSR (01/2027 & 02/2027 Batches) – Open to unmarried male and female candidates. Duties include technical operations on ships and naval systems.
Agniveer MR – Open to male and female candidates. Responsible for general sailor duties after training.
Agniveer SSR (Medical) – 02/2027 Batch – Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. This role supports medical services on naval ships and bases.

Vacancies are allocated state-wise based on recruitment requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

Candidates should be born between May 1, 2005 and October 31, 2009 (inclusive).

Age Range: Approximately 17.5 to 21 years
Only unmarried candidates are eligible
SSR (Medical) is restricted to male candidates

Educational Qualification

SSR: Class 12 (10+2) with Mathematics & Physics and minimum 50% marks OR a 3-year Engineering Diploma with 50% marks.
MR: Class 10 (Matriculation) pass with minimum 50% marks.
SSR (Medical): Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 50% aggregate and 40% in each subject.

Students appearing for Class 12 exams in 2025–26 can also apply provisionally.

Physical Standards

Minimum Height: 157 cm for males (relaxation as per government rules)
Vision: 6/12 uncorrected, correctable to 6/6
Color Vision: Must pass color perception test
Tattoos: Allowed only on inner forearm or back of hand

Selection Process

Stage I – INET 2026

Online Computer-Based Test
Total Questions: 100 MCQs
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 1 Hour
Subjects: English, Science, Biology (for relevant posts), and General Awareness
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Candidates must pass both section-wise and overall marks.

Stage II

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds
20 Squats (Uthak Baithak)
15 Push-ups
15 Bent-knee Sit-ups

Written Exam
Recruitment Medical Examination

Final Selection

Provisionally selected candidates will undergo final medical tests at INS Chilka, Odisha. Final merit lists will be prepared state-wise.

Salary, Training and Benefits

During Training: Rs. 14,600 per month stipend
After Training: Level 3 Pay Matrix (Rs. 21,700 – Rs. 69,100)
Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs. 5,200
Dearness Allowance as applicable

Promotion opportunities can reach Level 8 Pay Matrix (Rs. 47,600 – Rs. 1,51,100).
